Biography

 

Spencer serves as a change agent / facilitator to teams seeking better working together relationships, communication, and improved productivity.

Prior to his current role Spencer served as lead facilitator for employee involvement teams in manufacturing, engineering, and leadership for a Fortune 500 company. He has been instrumental in launching teaming programs at three Greenfield organizations within the company.

He connects and networks to share teaming dynamics, knowledge, and assists in design of a company wide Employee Involvement / Employee Engagement direction through collaboration with other change agents, facilitators, coaches, and teaming champions.

Spencer is a life long learner and holds a lean certification in leading Accelerated Improvement Workshops. He acquired his Six Sigma Black Belt certificate through Villanova University. Other certifications include Strategic Organizational Leadership through Villanova University and Champions of Change through Pepperdine University.

Spencer’s accomplishments include designing and launching a dynamic teaming system for natural work teams. The outcome has been more effective & efficient meetings, better personal relationships, and increased trust among peer team members. This teaming effectiveness extends to better relationships with key customers and supplier through positive applications of continuous improvement tools, which helped enhance the business at a local team-based level. Spencer facilitated change in a key Fortune 500 aerospace leadership team, developed local facilitator training, wrote a facilitator guidebook, and connected the value and logistics of teaming to many organizations. In 2008, Spencer was a presenter at the International Employee Involvement Association convention in Orlando, Florida. He and received the EIA’s “Best Presentation” award.

Spencer specializes in creating teaming programs with the customers needs in mind. He also works to change cultures of businesses, organizations, and/or teams. Spencer is capable of facilitating any event or activity and bringing a fun atmosphere to the meeting. Past events include, Safety Leadership Teams, Joint Programs EESIT Team for safety communication, Facilitation 101, Lean 201, key Fortune 500 aerospace leadership teams, 5s Zero to Three in Sixty Days, Metric board roll out for a shop floor mechanics in a key aerospace business units. This helped shop floor mechanics connect to the organization vision, goals, and strategies through relevant and meaningful metrics. He has also worked with labor and management to build better working together relationship and create more synergy and productivity from leadership suite to unionized shop floor mechanics through employee involvement and engagement teams.
